Designed for industrial use, the K-Series Lateral File features conventional drawers with recessed monochromatic pulls matching 38000 Series desks; a three part telescoping slide suspension, operating on 40 steel ball bearings per side; mechanical interlocks preventing more than one drawer opening at a time and counterweights to inhibit tipping when drawer is opened. The seven-point reinforced case has 4 adjustable leveling glides and knock-out holes for grouping units side by side. Two adjustable hangrails provided in each drawer for letter, or legal side-to-side filing.
